DHL, DP World Jointly Win Most Innovative Company in Technology Award

For the first time in TLME Awards' history two companies have jointly won an award.

DHL and DP World have jointly won the prestigious 'Most Innovative Company in Technology' Award at the TLME Heroes of the Pandemic Awards 2021 hosted by TV news presenter Katie Jensen and A-list celebrity and 2x world champion boxer, Amir Khan presenting the Special Recognition Awards.

This was a really special outcome, as quite unbelievably, there was a dead-heat in the voting process and the two remained tied till the very end. It seemed nothing could split these two magnificent companies in their technology innovation efforts.

In a rapidly digitalising world, transport and logistics companies have had to make special efforts to keep up the advances and applications of state-of-the-art technologies.

From recently digitalising all its customer transactions, expanding its e-commerce-based operations, to even exploring the possibilities of applying quantum computing technology to increase effeciencies, DP World is making every effort to use the power of technology in its day-to-day operations to realize better and better outcomes.

DHL for its part has also been making rapid advances in digitalisation and automation. DHL has partnered with Locus Robotics to automate its warehouses and consolidated last-mile logistics in the GCC with digital delivery solutions in response to the uptick in e-commece fulfilment activity in the region.

Furthermore, DHL Saloodo! and myDHLi digital platforms are also playing a critical role in keeping operations on track with their widespread deployments.

With such an array of outstanding achievements made during very challenging times of the pandemic, both companies have proved themselves to be worthy winners of this very important technology award.
