Souq.com which is now owned by Amazon.com faced numerous challenges to reach the ultimate goal of becoming the top E-commerce company in the Arab World. They set up their office in Dubai and with the knack of Dubai city's technology, media and marketing. Souq.com became of the largest ecommerce company in Dubai and Middle east. Also, the company faces tough competition from Noon.com, part of emaar properties, whose chairman is Mohamed Alabbar.
