PwC joins the Fast Forward Challenge to support start-ups and promote innovation in logistics

PwC will be offering participating start-ups the necessary mentorship and guidance to enhance their pitches, further develop their solutions and highlight the gaps in their business cases.

PwC Middle East, the key advisor to the logistics and transport sector and member of the multinational professional services network PwC Global, announced its sponsorship of the Fast Forward Start-up Challenge presented by Logistics Middle East and the DHL Innovation Centre for the Middle East and Africa region, in partnership with Microsoft for start-ups, ENY Consulting, EZDubai and AHOY to promote innovation and support pioneering start-ups in the logistics sector.

Mentorship and guidance

Bringing together consultants from its Middle East Transport and Logistics Practice as well as experts and coaches from PwC Ventures, the company will be offering participating start-ups the necessary mentorship and guidance to enhance their pitches, further develop their solutions and highlight the gaps in their business cases. Additionally, PwC will support the winners with access to its extensive network of partners and investors.

A unique opportunity

The Challenge, set to be launched on 23 February 2022, offers a unique platform for start-ups with pioneering concepts and forward-looking ideas to showcase their work and connect with industry leaders, key investors and prominent logistics and supply chain consultancies. The objective is to accelerate their access to the market and test their concepts in real-life operations.

Winners

The Challenge’s first winner will receive extensive mentorship sessions from industry frontrunners as well as complimentary media coverage from Logistics Middle East and the chance to implement their proof of concept across DHL’s operations, among other prizes worth $100,000.

Moreover, the winner will have a chance to be fast-tracked and automatically considered for Microsoft’s GrowthX Accelerator programme, should their solution align with one of the programme’s challenges.
