Recently, ocean freight has risen sharply. I chatted with some friends and mentioned that the port congestion in the United States is very serious. Because there are no workers in the port, it is difficult to unload the cargo, resulting in a drastic reduction in the shipping cycle of the ship, and the shipowner thereby greatly increasing the freight. Then the whole process makes international logistics very slow. This has also had a lot of impact on the price changes of bulk commodities. This is a factor that we must consider when analyzing commodities.
We are in China and feel that prices in Western countries have risen a lot, while Chinese goods are relatively weak. The increase in sea freight will make China's originally strong products stronger, because imports have decreased due to the increase in sea freight. But at the same time, it will also make the originally weak commodities weaker because exports are blocked.
